Counter Sniper Observation and Negation – CSON (pron: Season) – $300 (2-Day course) A different than the normal “Tactical/Precision” rifle class. Students will work as a team to infiltrate, observe, record and engage hidden targets in a field environment after explantion and practise of basic skill sets. Emphasis will be on recording the area of engagement and identifying all the targets, reporting without detection, then accurately shooting over varied terrain and distances out to 400 yards. Approximately 16 hours in length and requires 50 rounds minimum. Recommended calibers 7.62 or 5.56 (.308 win or .223)

- Rifle with Bipod and sling (No Elastic)
- 100 rounds of quality ammunition
- Hearing/eye protection
- Cleaning equipment
- Binoculars and Spotting scope (optional)
- Magnetic Compass (Orienteering style recommended)
- Water bottles, Canteens, or Camelbak
- Daypack
- Notebook and pens; 12″ ruler or measuring tape; Pocket calculator
- Sand sock or one empty tube type athletic sock to be used as such
- Clothing for weather conditions, camouflage recommended
- Sturdy footwear
- Camouflage material for skin (Camo paint or makeup)
- Shooting Mat, Drag bag or Rifle bag that opens out

- Kestrel or other wind/weather meter
- Ballistics Calculator
- Ghillie Suit
- Knee/elbow pads
- Durable clothing suitable for lying on rocky/thorny surfaces
- Sunglasses/ sunblock/ chapstick/ Bug Juice (Insect repellent)
- Lens cleaning kit
- Took kit containing screwdriver with multiple tips and Allen or Torx wrenches to fit each scope ring or base screw.
